How do ears help us hear?
কান কীভাবে আমাদের শুনতে সাহায্য করে?
Sound is a tiny vibration in the air. The outer ear (the part you can see) catches these vibrations and guides them inside.
শব্দ হলো বাতাসের ছোট নড়াচড়া। বাইরের কান (যেটা তুমি দেখতে পারো) এই নড়াচড়া ধরেই ভেতরে পাঠায়।
The eardrum is a thin skin inside the ear. It shakes when sound reaches it. Tiny bones behind the eardrum move and make the shaking stronger.
কানের ভেতরে একটা পাতলা পর্দা থাকে—ওটাই কাঁপে। কানের ভেতরের ছোট ছোট হাড়গুলো সেই কাঁপনটাকে আরও বাড়ায়।
A spiral part called the cochlea turns the shaking into signals. Nerves carry the signals to the brain. The brain tells you what the sound is.
ককলিয়া নামে ঘূর্ণাকার অংশ কাঁপনকে সংকেতে বদলে দেয়। স্নায়ু সেই সংকেতগুলো মস্তিষ্কে পাঠায়। মস্তিষ্ক তোমাকে জানায় এটা কী শব্দ।
Sound is made by vibration — when something moves fast, it makes the air vibrate.
শব্দ কম্পনে তৈরি হয়—যখন কিছু দ্রুত সামনে-পেছনে নড়েচড়ে, সেটা বাতাসকে কাঁপায়।
