On the way, the dog crossed a small bridge. He looked into the water and saw his reflection. He thought it was another dog with another piece of meat.
পথে কুকুরটি একটি ছোট সেতু পার হচ্ছিল। সে পানিতে নিজের ছায়া দেখতে পেল। সে ভাবল, সেখানে আরেকটি কুকুর আরেক টুকরো মাংস নিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে।

The greedy dog wanted both pieces of meat. He opened his mouth to grab the other one, and his own meat fell into the water. He went home sadly with nothing.
লোভী কুকুরটি দুটো মাংসের টুকরোই নিতে চাইল। সে অন্য টুকরোটি ধরতে মুখ খুলতেই তার নিজের মাংসটি পানিতে পড়ে গেল। শেষে সে খালি মুখে দুঃখ করে বাড়ি ফিরল।
